That I’d end up here…..

Alone and on my own

But it’s coming

I am a survivor

And will pull through this

Eventually, I hope

3 decades is a long time

And those years

Will always be in my memories

Fall is here

And another change is coming

But not the change I expected

Yes, I am hurting…….

The Long Summer

Summer seems to get longer every year

But this summer was the longest

And silent and lonely and cold

As I look back on my life

I am amazed at what I was able to accomplish

And stunned at the mistakes I made

Summer has now faded into Fall

And Fall will fade into Winter

And I will fade out of memories

The journey ahead will be challenging

With more loneliness and silence

But I will always have my music…….
