And the year flows on by.......


The year draws to a close
As we prepare to gather

Christmas in Georgia
With all the family around

And I pass
And spend my time alone


I see you with Stash
In my own room
In old Tennessee

"Get up boy", you say
"Time to walk the ol dog".....

I rub my eyes......
What did I just see?

"Is that you, Dad?"

Silence.....nothing but silence.

I wander upstairs and stoke the fire......
The coffee brews and the aroma fills the room.....

I never did say goodbye, did I?

Farewell, friend.......until the next time.........
